Flip PDF Pages Into a Mirror Image
or drop files here
Reverse every page, or only the ones you pick, the way a mirror would. Lettering and line art stay crisp vectors, and the whole job runs on your own device.
Pick a direction, check it, print it.
Open your PDF
Drop in a transfer design, a stamp layout or any document. Locked files ask for their password once, then page 1 appears side by side with its mirrored version.
Choose the mirror
Left to right for transfers and glass, top to bottom for upside-down reflections. The After image updates the moment you pick, and you can restrict it to chosen pages.
Save and print as is
Press Flip PDF and keep the reversed file. It prints the right way round for transfers on any printer, with no mirror setting to hunt for.
Jobs that only work in reverse.
Whenever ink is pressed face down or read through a transparent surface, the print gets reversed along the way. Mirroring the file first cancels that out.
Iron-on and t-shirt transfers
Transfer paper goes face down onto the fabric, so whatever you print comes out reversed. Mirror the design first and the slogan on the shirt reads the right way.
Back-printed film and glass
Printing on the reverse of acetate, window film or a glass panel keeps the ink protected behind the surface. Seen from the front, the artwork only reads correctly if it was printed mirrored.
Stamps, engraving and stencils
Rubber stamps, reverse-engraved acrylic and some screen-printing films need reversed artwork, because the finished piece is pressed or viewed from the opposite side.
Scans made from the wrong side
Photographing a drawing through the back of a lightbox, or scanning tracing paper and film the wrong way up, gives a reversed copy. One left to right flip fixes it without rescanning.
Teleprompter scripts
A prompter shows the screen as a reflection in angled glass, which reverses the words. If your rig cannot mirror the picture itself, a mirrored script reads normally in the glass. Depending on how the monitor is mounted, you may need top to bottom instead.
Proofing a reversed file
Artwork prepared for transfer paper is already mirrored, which makes it awkward to proofread or send to a client for approval. Flip it once more to get a normal, readable copy.
Mirror, flip or rotate: what each one does.
The word on the right is drawn four times with the same reflections this tool applies. Only left to right produces true mirror writing, the kind transfers and stamps need. Top to bottom is a reflection in a pool: upside down and reversed. Both ways combine into something that looks exactly like a half turn, so the text is upside down but still reads forwards.
Inside the file, nothing is redrawn. Each chosen page has its existing drawing instructions wrapped in one mirror transform centred on the visible page area, so text, vector shapes and embedded photos are reflected exactly as they are. Link areas are moved with the same transform, so they keep pointing at the right spot. Pages stored with a rotation are handled from your point of view: left to right means left to right as the page appears on screen.
Rotation is a different mechanism. Rotate PDF changes a single setting on each page that tells viewers which way up to show it, and nothing about the content changes. If you chose Both ways only to turn a page upside down, rotating is the lighter option.

One thing does not flip: comments, stamps and form fields sit in a separate layer that your viewer draws on top. They move to the mirrored position but their contents stay readable. To reverse them too, merge them into the page with Flatten PDF before flipping.
